About me
Hi, I'm Alex. I'm based out of Richmond, VA where I live with my wonderful wife, Jen, and our pitt-boxer mix, Eddie Poe (that's them up top in the video enjoying the beach at Corolla).

I started my videography business in 2020 having moved here from the UK to get married. We got married at the Edgar Allen Poe museum in Richmond and couldn't resist naming our dog after the poet. My professional background is in content marketing for small startups, and fondly count an upmarket knife-manufacturer & a Mexican condiment-maker as previous employers. It was in these roles that I really started learning to use a camera for both stills & video.
My decision to start a videography business is somewhat serendipitous. Moving to the US, I knew I'd have at least a year to wait for my green card. So I decided to try my hand at something I'd wanted to do for a long time: wildlife photography & film. I set myself up with the basics I needed and really enjoyed the process. It was a chance meeting with a very talented photographer here in Richmond (Emmi Claire Photography) that got me thinking about doing it professionally and setting up my own business. Emily invited me along to a few weddings to practice, and the rest is history.

I've now filmed a lot of weddings and have developed my skill considerably. I love what I do and am enjoying being my own boss.
